In March, we often work on older riverside cottages and Victorian town-centre properties, where steep clay or slate roofs, dormers and chimneys call for careful matching and leadwork. In tighter central streets we plan scaffold and deliveries carefully, and after heavy rain we check gutters and outlets closely because surface water flooding is a known local issue.
